This is a fanart of the book 'So You Want To Be A Wizard' by Diane Duane. In a few months time I will have been a fan of the 'Young Wizards' series of books for half of my life.
This image shows Nita Callahan getting caught by her wizard's manual near the beginning of the book.
Anyway, there are some serious issues in the perspective of this piece, but I am proud of it anyway. Not least because this is a 100% traditional piece so I did not have access to my much-used 'undo' button. Yay! Also, I decided to colour with felt pens. I usually choose colour pencils when colouring traditional pieces, because they are easier to control than felt pens. But it seems as if I am starting to get the hang of ink, because I had no serious issues while colouring this.
Drawn on very low-quality A4 cardboard, coloured with felt pens.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
